Raisin Rack Natural Food Market Wins Grocer Award

(Westerville, OH)—Earlier today, the Ohio Grocers Association presented its prestigious Pinnacle Award to Raisin Rack Natural Food Market of Westerville and Canton Ohio.  The Pinnacle Award, based on operational excellence and significant contribution to Ohio’s food industry, is given annually to both a small operator and a large operator.

Founder and Owner Don Caster opened the first Raisin Rack store in Canton, OH in 1978 to meet the needs of his customers by providing a complete natural food market. Designed to offer foods with less processing and a wide variety of offerings that are fresh with the added commitment of local quality, Raisin Rack grew since its inception and now fills a 17,000 square foot facility in Canton. The Caster family then ventured to Central Ohio and opened their second store, first in Upper Arlington, then in Dublin in New Market Mall until 1998, before moving into their 25,000 square foot facility in Westerville they occupy today.

Under Don Caster’s leadership, Raisin Rack Natural Food Market continues to evolve to meet the needs of today’s shopper. Whether it’s the Millennial shopper, concerned parents, or Baby Boomers, Raisin Rack is uniquely designed to cater towards each customer sect’s health portfolio. Their website offers extensive knowledge of specific items and meal planning; they offer an extensive deli counter, organic salad bar, fresh sushi bar, and countless other items; and their Westerville locations offers online shopping for added customer convenience. Today, Don and the Raisin Rack team employ around 85 people between the two locations and maintain a reputation of having a knowledgeable and friendly staff.
