Raisin Rack’s March Newsletter

40 years of serving healthy customers

Raisin Rack Natural Food Market reached a milestone this month with our 40th anniversary. The store was founded in 1978 by Don and Paulette Caster, who still own and operate two locations today.

So much has changed in 40 years since Raisin Rack began in a tiny store in Canton. Raisin Rack expanded to the Columbus area in 1982, and both the Canton and Westerville stores have expanded since then from a limited supply of nutritional supplements and herbs to a vast array of organic and natural groceries, produce, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian foods, dairy and non-dairy, fresh offerings from the cafe, produce and more.

Organic foods was considered a fringe area back in 1978. Now, healthy eating has become mainstream. We’re more concerned than ever about what we put in our bodies and how are food is sourced. Americans now want non-GMO food that is locally sourced. Raisin Rack has that. They want quality products for their children and families. Raisin Rack understands that. Comsumers want to stay healthy and realize that prevention, through what they eat and supplementation, is the best method to stay out of the doctor’s office or to heal.

Raisin Rack is happy to have hopefully made a difference in lives during the past 40 years. As we go forward, we pledge to keep that same commitment. Raisin Rack does not compromise on its quality standards. You can trust our locally owned store to scrutinize the products we offer. Some of the ways that’s evident is all-organic produce and only providing the highest quality nutritional supplements.

Thank you for your support for so many years. Many of our customers have been along for the ride since the early days. We appreciate your loyalty to supporting local and independent business. We are truly the lifeblood and the economic engine of our communities.

As we move forward, we hope you will help us spread the word about Raisin Rack and the importance of good health.

Free presentations during anniversary month

From the beginning, Raisin Rack’s owners had a vision to not only provide quality products but to educate shoppers about their health. Through the years, our stores have presented hundreds of lectures from numerous experts such as doctors, naturopaths, nutritionists, herbalists, practitioners and more. All of those events have been free.

This month during Raisin Rack’s anniversary, the Westerville store continues that tradition with two more free presentations, and there are several others scheduled for next month.

On Tuesday, March 20, in a fun and interactive Pranic healing workshop starting at 6:30 p.m., attendees will learn about using prana to improve all areas of their life.

Pranic healing can be used for de-stressing, calming the mind, increasing energy level, relieving aches and pains,  and so much more.

In this session, participants will be guided to scan or feel prana with our hands. They will discuss the chakras, do fun experiments with energy, learn breathing techniques, and learn simple but effective self-healing methods for stress relief and pain reduction.

Register at the Westerville store to attend. Walk-ins are welcome. Contact Stephanie with questions at stephanie@prinichealing.com.

Then on Saturday, March 31, Shema skin and haircare will present information at 1 p.m. about its products. Attendees will receive a free gift. Registration is available at the Westerville store. Walk-ins are also invited.

We look forward to seeing you at these events. And spread the word to anyone interested.
